The Chef

Chef Chester Coppin

Chef Chester Coppin was born and raised in Barbados, where he learned to cook from his grandmother using traditional island recipes passed down through generations. Every dish carries the warmth and pride of his heritage.

After years of perfecting his craft, Chester brought his passion to Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, opening Oasis Restaurant as a place where Caribbean and Soul Food traditions come together. His kitchen is built on the belief that food should be authentic, generous, and made with love.

Today, Oasis stands as a cornerstone of the community -- a place where families gather, cultures connect, and every plate tells a story of home.
